According to an announcement of the Hellenic Statistical Authority that was released on Friday, visitors to Greek museums increased in June by 27.7%.
Additionally, revenues from entrance tickets went up by 30.1% compared to the same month last year.
The same announcement noted that in the period between January-June, there were 20.2% more visitors to museums and revenues rose by 26.6%, compared to the same period last year.
ELSTAT also said that, specifically for archaeological sites, the number of visitors increased by 21.3% in June while revenues rose by 14.3% compared to the same month in 2013.
In the January-June period, the number of visitors in archaeological sites increased by 24% and revenues rose by 17.1%.
