Voridis: “Home medication delivery” for cancer patients

The Minister of Health announced that the program will apply to begin with in two-three areas and will then be further examined

The Greek Ministry of Health is planning to implement a new program which consists of delivering medication at home to patients suffering from cancer.
In his interview to radio station Vima FM, Greek Minister of Health Mr. Makis Voridis revealed that: “we will be consulting with the qualified patients, especially in cases where hospitals have no medicines available and refer them either to another hospital or to pharmacies of EOPYY”.
Specifically, Mr. Voridis spoke of a program under which the medication will be delivered to the patient’s home. ” It will take place next year. The program will apply to begin with in two-three areas and will then be further examined”, he added.
Further, the Minister of Finance referred to the current political issues, such as the upcoming President of Republic election, the expansion of the left party ND and to new recruitment in the health sector.
