Google has announced via their official blog that Google Street View now includes access to images from Samburu National Reserve and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya.
The images, which can be accessed through ‘Google Street View Treks’, showcase the amazing landscape in the northern Kenyan wilderness.
The route follows one of the roads through the 165 sq km (65 sq mile) central Kenyan reserve and does not let the user go off-road. Elephants, zebra and a leopard can be seen dotted along the way.
However, there is a purpose behind Google’s Treks project, it aims to tell the stories of the elephant families in the park and highlight the work done by Save the Elephants organization.
