Watch live: A ring of fire eclipse

The moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun

The eclipse will be seen from Antarctica and only partly from Australia. However, everyone would be able to watch the annular eclipse via Internet which will make the Sun look like a ring of fire.

During the eclipse, which is in progress at this time, the moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, but it won’t cover entirely the Sun.

This is the second eclipse of 2014. A total lunar eclipse occured in mid-April, whereas two more will follow, one lunar eclipse and one solar eclipse.
