Investigations by the US military are underway to determine the causes of the crash of an F-35 fighter jet in the South China Sea, as well as the leak of the video on social media.

The US Navy estimates that the video was taken by a member of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson.

Video “caught” the moment of the crash of the state-of-the-art aircraft, while photos show the F-35 floating in the sea.

The American fighter, as seen in the video, is trying to land on the American aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson. Most likely due to mishandling, the aircraft failed to properly approach the runway and crashed into the sea.

The American services immediately started the retrieval operation, however, a serious issue that arose was the leak of the video and the news on social media.

The US Navy launched an investigation on two levels. On the one hand about the causes of the accident and on the other hand about how and by whom the video recorded at the time of the crash of the F-35 leaked.

“It is estimated that the video and photos presented to the media were recorded on the USS Carl Vinson during the crash. An investigation is underway into the incident, “said a statement from the US Navy.
