WFTU Trade Union poster competition

The winning poster will be the one judged to have best captured and projected the militant, internationalist and class-oriented perspective of the WFTU, the working class aesthetic and the importance of the WFTU struggles in the history and for the future

A poster competition invites all trade unionists, friends of trade unions, as well as amateur and professional graphic artists to prepare posters dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).

Posters should include the slogan, “1945-2015: 70 years – Militant and Internationalist”, in any chosen language. The WFTU should also be included in the poster. The WFTU Logo in larger analysis could be requested from the WFTU Central offices (press@wftucentral.org). The dimensions of each work should be 50×70 cm, CMYK, File format .pdf (300dpi)

The winning poster will be the one judged to have best captured and projected the militant, internationalist and class-oriented perspective of the WFTU, the working class aesthetic and the importance of the WFTU struggles in the history and for the future. It will be translated into many languages and be used as the central poster of the WFTU for the central event held on October 3 in San Paolo, Brazil, as well as other activities in all continents as well as the winner’s country of origin.

The international winner will have the chance to spend a week in Athens, Greece, including air fare, accomodation, meals and local transport. All participants, however, receive souvenirs such as WFTU T-shirts, cups, pins, etc as well as a series of WFTU publications. All posters that reflect the values of the WFTU will be exhibited at various events and will be shown on the WFTU website.
