Gayle Newland pretended to be a man in order to trick her girlfriend so as to have sex with her has been sentenced for eight years.

During their sexual encounters, she made her friend to wear a blindfold the entire time and used a prosthetic penis while she also deepened her voice, as Independent reports.

Newland denied the accusation of sexual assault insisting her female friend always knew she was pretending and that it was a sexual roleplay.

But the jury rejected her defence and convicted her to an 8-year sentence.

Newland’s  victim said she realized who her partner was only when she pulled off the blindfold during sex to see her friend Gayle wearing a strap-on prosthetic.
