16th Capital Link Forum on Greece: "Investing in Growth"

Greece hopes to lure foreign investors with New York conference on December 1-2

New York is hosting the 16th annual Capital Link forum on Greece on December 1 and 2. The theme, titled “Investing in Growth”, will include a number of speakers whose aim sis to attract investors’ interest, espcially from sectors that are already popular with foreigners such as energy, banking, tourism, real estate and the transport infrastructure.

The New York Stock Exchange is collaborating with Capital Link to present a program titled “A Greek Day at the NYSE” on December 2.

Scheduled speakers include:
* Development and Competitiveness Minister Costas Skrekas
* Shipping and Aegean Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis
* Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras
* Deputy Environment, Energy and Climate Change Minister Asimakis Papageorgiou
* International Monetary Fund mission representative to Greece Rishi Goyal
* Greek Ambassador to Washington Christos Panagopoulos
* State Privatization Agency (HRADF) CEO Paschalis Bouchouris

There will also be videotaped messages by Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and European Commission Vice President Jyrki Katainen.
