37% refugees in Greece are children

Most found in central Macedonia and Attica

Over 13,500 refugee children are hosted at the reception centers in Greece, according to the Greek state. Nearly 5,500 are hosted in central Macedonia and more than 4,500 in the Attica region. According to the official registration services, the total number of refugees in the reception centers amount to 36,890, while the divergence compared to the 52,000 is due to the fact that camps at the Idomeni, Piraeus, Moria and Polycastro have not been factored into to the number. This means refugee minors make up 37% of the aggregate number of refugees and migrants.
