A 4.7 magnitude earthquake rocked the city of Kilkis in Macedonia, at 1.22am in the morning of Saturday. The epicentre of the earthquake was located 18km west of the city and had a shallow 4km depth. The tremor was also felt in Greece’s second largest city of Thessaloniki. It is the 3rd earthquake over the past 9 days that was over the 4 on the Richer scale, following a 4.5 tremor on November 10 and a 4.0 earthquake on November 16. Seismologists are reassuring that the frequency of seismic activity is normal and should not alarm people.
