1. Navagio, Zakynthos
There is no surprise this is the list, as the beach famous for its shipwreck is protected by high rocks and can only be accessed via the sea.
2. Sarakiniko, Milos
Huge white rocks emerge from the sea and give the impression of a moonscape.
3. Egremni
Visitors have to park their cars at the top of the mountain and be brave and fit enough to descend 100+ steps of stairs till they reach the sand it is well worth it.
4. Lalaria, Skiathos
Lalaria means pebbles. Only don’t think of taking a white shingle off the beach because the local authorities could fine you up to 1,000 euros!
5. Balos
White and pink sand is a rare combination that surrounds the shallow waters in this secluded beautiful place. It is said Prince Charles and Princess Dianna had visited this beach on their honeymoon.
6. Agios Pavlos, Rhodes
This one of St. Paul’s stops while spreading the Gospels. Thus this picturesque beach has become famous for religious tourism.
7. Myrtos, Kefalonia
This is a beach difficult to access between 2 mountains called Agia Dynati and Mount Kalon.
8. Voidokilia, Messinia
This beach has the shape of the Greek latter Omega and has retained its name since antiquity. Homer even makes reference to it in his famous poets.
