The passenger ship Europalink sailing under the Italian flag arrived at the port of Corfu early in the morning after hitting the isle of Peristeres, close to Corfu resulting to a controlled flow of water in the engine room.

No injuries were reported and all passengers and staff were safely disembarked at the port of Corfu.

The ship’s route was Patras- Igoumenitsa-Ancona and it will remain in the port of Corfu to restore the damages.
