SYRIZA calls for the major issue of the US tariffs to be debated in Parliament

The party’s president, SYRIZA PA, spoke of “mockery of the citizens and insult to the institutions” in his presentation today at the meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Group of the SYRIZA PA. Socrates Famellos, saying that the handling of the government majority “is an illegal and unconstitutional cover-up procedure”.

“And it deprives the control of the witnesses called by SYRIZA-PS, including Mr. Mitsotakis, while it also covers Mr. Triandopoulos, who addressed the Parliament with an insulting note,” Famelos continued. The Presidency of the SYRIZA-PS CO decided the following initiatives:

– To reintroduce in the Finance Ministry’s bill under discussion, amendments to restore the 13th and 14th salaries and to reduce VAT in order to address the issue of inflation.

– The President also noted that the proposal for progressive partnerships and parliamentary coalition is publicly formulated by him on the table in a programmatic framework. Current scenarios circulating about “bargaining” are unsubstantiated and provocative and serve other purposes, he concluded.
