Attack at fascist Golden Dawn hangout

An unknown assailant placed a makeshift bomb at Bristol cafe where GD members are known to gather

A fire broke out after a makeshift bomb was thrown into Bristol cafe at Davaki Street at Ambelokipi at 8 a.m. on Friday. The cafe is known as being a hangout for members of the ultranationalist Golden Dawn (GD) party.

Three divices had been placed in the cafe of which only two exploded. The timing of the explosion was early and there were not many people in the cafeteria.

A fire broke out causing damage to the storefront and to the cafeteria’s seating area.

Sources state that Bristol became a target due to its clientelle of GD members. For this reason, the Counterterrorism squad arrived at the area and are looking through footage from neighboring stores that show a person placing the devices in the area.
