Following Wednesday’s meeting in Frankfurt, the European Central Bank decided to increase the loan limit to Greece by 400 million euros, a figure considered on the low end.

As noted in the meeting, the available balance on funnelling liquidity from the temporary liquidity mechanism is approximately 3 billion euros.

However, the new limit for Greek banks will be reconsidered in next week’s new ECB meeting.
