Brangelina’s wedding: The wedding gown, the honeymoon and Jon Voight’s absence

Angelina wore a small locket with a photo of her mother inside it.

While Ron Bard, Brad Pitt’s psychic, was insisting in interviews that the famous Hollywood star doesn’t love Angelina Jolie, and that he feels ‘boxed in’ but will not leave her for the sake of their six children, the glamorous couple were planning their secret wedding in France, that would put all rumors to rest.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied the knot on August 25, in an intimate ceremony at a small chapel on the grounds of their $35 million Chateau Mirval, France, a spokesperson for the couple has confirmed.

The couple decided to marry at the stunning estate they bought in 2011 after Angelina made a promise to wed in France to her mother and also to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the filming of Mr & Mrs Smith, where they met and fell in love, a source told MailOnline.

The ceremony was watched by only 22 people, including the six children of Brad and Jolie: Maddox and Pax walked their mother down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne were the flower girls, and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. Their wedding rings are believed to have been designed by their good friend Robert Procop, who is thought to have attended the wedding.

According to the latest reports by the media, the bride was wearing a classic long silk wedding gown. E! reports that the boys all wore cream linen suits, just like Brad’s, while the girls each wore a different dress of their choice. There are also reports that Angelina was wearing a small locket with a photo of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand,  inside it.

Hollywood legend and Jolie’s father Jon Voight, told Inside Edition that he had no idea that his daughter tied the knot over the weekend. “That’s nice,” he said when asked for comment.

After a short family honeymoon in Nice, Jolie and Pitt headed to Malta on Wednesday to start shooting By The Sea, a film written and directed by the Oscar-winning actress.

It should be noted that this will be the first time Pitt and Jolie have appeared onscreen together since 2005′s Mr. & Mrs. Smith. They couple met on the set of Doug Linman’s successful film and became engaged in 2012.

In May 38-year-old Angelina Jolie revealed in an interview that she and Pitt were discussing about their future marriage with their children.

“We are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be. Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding,’ Jolie said. ‘They will in a way be the wedding planners. It’s going to be Disney or paintball – one or the other!’
This is the second marriage for Pitt, aged 50, who was with first wife Jennifer Aniston for five years, and the third for Jolie, 39, who was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
