Greek Government as the main shareholder of the company requested his resignation through the Greek Minister of Finance

PPC chief Arthuros Zervos tendered his resignation on Wednesday afternoon, following a same-day indictment against him for felony misuse of funds.

According to reports, the government, acting on behalf of the state, which is the primary shareholder of the power utility, requested his resignation.
