Breaking News: UK calls for urgent UN Security Council on Russia spy case

Russia has denied it had a motive

The UK has called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to update members on the investigation into the nerve agent attack in Salisbury, the Foreign Office has said.

Russia insisted it had “no motive” in the attempted murder of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.

Former double agent Mr Skripal, 66, and his daughter, Yulia, 33, were found slumped on a bench in Salisbury city centre. It was found they had been poisoned.
