Buzzfeed: 25 ‘faux’ reasons to stay away from Greece… If you can!

Don't let the title of the article fool you

Newsroom February 14 08:04

A BuzzFeed reporter chose a highly unorthodox way to praise Greece and all those amazing things the country has to offer.

Despite the tongue-in-cheek title, this article will make you love Greece even more, as it features everything that makes this country so special.

And, as you will discover, the sharp contrast between the words and images really gets the message through.

Here are the 25 reasons you should “never” visit Greece, according to Nia Alavezos:

1. Some people believe that Greece is beautiful…
2. And that it has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world…
3. But this doesn’t make sense
4. In reality, most beaches in Greece are average

5. The water is filthy…
6. No greenery whatsoever
7. It is an overpopulated country
8. Always hectic

9. As for history, the country has none

15. The art is ordinary

16. The Greek salad is overrated
17. And who would eat… that?
18. No sign of religion anywhere!
19. You call that iconography?

20. Do you honestly like this view?
21. Or this?
22. Of course not.
23. Sunsets are tedious here.
