Die Linke co-chair: Greek demand for repayment of forced WWII "loan" correct

Bernd Riexinger also calls on Berlin not to “reject the matter so harshly”

The co-chairman of Germany’s leftist Die Linke party, Bernd Riexinger, on Thursday emphasized that a forced wartime loan must be repaid by the German state to Greece.
The German politician made the statement in reference to a more recent demand by Athens that the issue is re-examined, noting that “the Greeks are right about this”.
According to a dispatch by the ANA correspondent in Berlin, Riexinger told the state-run ARD channel that the German government shouldn’t “reject the matter so harshly”.
