Dombrovskis: Evaluation to be completed after mid-February says

European Commission has clearly rejected the possibility of a Grexit, he stated

Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis did not rule out the possibility of delaying the Greek program’s evaluation till mid-February in an interview with German MNI agency and Euro2day.

“We are already behind schedule. We currently aim to mid-February. But I won’t set a specific date, because what really matters is to agree on the substance and terms of the program, “he said, adding that the Institutions are still in negotiations with the Greek authorities on social security issue.

As for Grexit, Mr. Dombrovskis said that the European Commission has clearly rejected the possibility of a Grexit.

Asked about IMF’s participation in the Greek program, he stressed that the participation of the IMF is legally binding, and that EU cannot force IMF to participate in third Greek program, since that would be a decision to be taken by IMF Board.
