Jimmy Fallon has been accused of “showering a racist with love” and “humanising a monster” after conducting a friendly interview with Donald Trump, in which he ruffled the presidential candidate’s hair.
On Thursday night, Mr Fallon joked with Mr Trump about Hillary Clinton being featured in Women’s Health magazine after admitting to suffering from pneumonia.
At the end of the interview, Jimmy Fallon asked if he could do one silly thing “now that we’re both civilians” – as the next time he interviews Mr Trump, he could be president.
He asked if he could ruffle Donald Trump’s hair.
After pondering for a moment, Mr Trump agreed.
People on Twitter were not happy that the chat show host acted so friendly towards the presidential candidate.
