Elon Musk, pioneer and inventor is currently in talks with the US government, seeking its approval to begin testing on a project to broadcast Internet from 4,000 satellites orbiting the Earth. He claims he wants to provide high-speed broadband internet to all corners of the globe.

This plan would transmogrify SpaceX from a company based solely on rockets and space exploration to an Internet provider amongst the best telecom companies, on a worldwide scale. Said market, is said to be worth over 2.1 Trillion USD. Musk’s plan is to send up his Falcon 9 rocket into space, then deploy a fleet of satellites around the planet.
