European Parliament President Martin Schulz said that confrontation is not the solution to the Greek crisis. “We hope to reconcile the proposals of both sides,” he said during a press conference in Strasbourg.
“We are waiting for Greek government’s proposals. The ball is on the other side, he said and added: I presume that the Greek government will table proposals and we will have to negotiate with Greece. In any case a Grexit is unacceptable,” he said.
