The European Commission following a request submitted to the Commissioner responsible for Regional Policy Mr. Johannes Hahn approved financial support of 3.7 million euro to repair the damage caused by earthquakes in Kefalonia in early 2014.
As announced by the Ministry of Development, the Community resources will be directed at repairing damage to buildings and infrastructure caused by the earthquake and aftershocks.
