Facebook to introduce its emoticons

‘Like’ is not the only option anymore

Facebook is to trial a new function called “Reactions”. The users will be able to respond to content with icons that represent love, sadness, surprise, laughter, cheeky smiles and anger.

From Friday, Ireland and Spain will be the first to test the new feature. Despite rumors that Facebook was working on a ‘dislike’ button in September, it seems Zuckerberg has decided that a binary choice of like and dislike is too specific.

Therefore, with this function users will no longer be constrained in their emotional response on the social network. However, there are many users who want to see also the ‘dislike’ button.
