Farmers are ready for their protest rally in Athens

They will open Tempi Valley to facilitate their colleagues to participate in the two-day protest rally

Greek farmers harden their stance demanding the Greek government to withdraw the draft on social security system.

Farmers were not satisfied with the statements of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras during yesterday’s cabinet meeting, although he said that he is open to discuss their demands.

Therefore, they continue the preparations for tomorrow’s protest actions which will be held in the centre of Athens.

The Athens-Thessaloniki motorway at Tempi Valley will open from 21:00 on Thursday until noon Friday following a decision of the members of the Thessaly farmers.

The farmers said that they will withdraw their tractors from the road in order to facilitate their colleagues from northern Greece to participate in the two-day protest rally that will be held at Syntagma square in Athens .
