Newly-appointed Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis will visit Rome next week, in order to meet with his Italian counterpart Pier Carlo Padoan, the Ansa news agency reports.

Padoan is one of Italian PM Matteo Renzi’s closest associates. It should be noted that the Italian FinMin has expressed his optimism that a solution for the Greece will be found, as Greece’s participation in the eurozone is to the European Union’s interest.
