FYROM uses dogs to stop migrants

Many incidents of migrants returning from FYROM bitten by dogs have been reported

FYROM toughens its stance and besides raising fences at its border with Greece it uses dogs to stop migrants and prevent them from entering the country, as members of non-profit organizations in Idomeni report.

They have reported many incidents of migrants returning from FYROM bitten by dogs after failing to enter the country and continue their journey to Europe.

“We have cared at least twenty people with dog bites” a doctor member of a non-profit organization told Kathimerini newspaper.

According to information, the victims are migrants from Asia or Africa who tried to pass through the fence raised by FYROM, since only refugees from war zones such as Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria are allowed to enter the country.
