Photographer Fred Levy began the “Black Dog Project” when he first heard the stats that show that dark-colored dogs have less chance of adoption than their lighter-colored canines. His mission was to find as many black dogs as possible and photograph these. Some were found via Facebook, others were found at dog shelters. The results were so brilliant that Levy is starting a “White Dog Project” soon.
