Greece is one of the biggest investors of Bulgaria

Greeks choose to invest to Bulgaria mainly because of the geographic vicinity and the low taxation

Economic and Trade Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Sofia published its annual report showing Greece as Bulgaria’s third largest foreign investor for 2014 with 2.49 billion euros in 2014.

Austria and the Netherlands made more investments in Bulgaria than Greece during 2014.

According to the data, a small decline is recorded compared to the past two years with investments reaching 2.75 billion euros in 2012 and 2.58 billion euros in 2013.

Greeks choose to invest to Bulgaria mainly because of the geographic vicinity, the low taxation and sometimes the lower cost of labor and the lower operation costs, says the report.
