Eurogroup in afternoon, other talks to continue

A day to remember? Or just another wasted opportunity?

Newsroom June 25 02:02

A six-part meeting between Greek PM Alexis Tsipras and the representatives of top lenders did not produce “white smoke” so far. The Eurogroup ended in the afternoon, just after 6 p.m. (Athens time)

At this time, the Institutions are composing a feasibility blueprint, bearing the potential meeting points. However, this “blueprint” does not bear approval by the Greek government, as the Greek side remained steadfast in its positions.

Earlier:

Greek crisis talks have resumed in Brussels with Tsipras making a last-ditch bid to find common ground with Greece’s creditors. In the last round of talks, the Financial Times reports that the SYRIZA government has been offered an ultimatum to “take it or leave it”, however, this was refuted by other news agencies.

“The level of frustration is so high. I don’t see a deal,” said an official who states that the Greeks didn’t budge from their positions on Wednesday.
