During their meeting which was held yesterday they decided to organize a large protest rally on the opening day of Agrotica International Fair, Jan 28, while they are also planning to head to Athens.

According to farmers’ union’s syndicalist Pavlos Arabatzis, more than 700 tractors are gathered at customs of Promachonas, at Greece-Bulgaria borders, while today another 150 tractors are expected to arrive.

He also stressed that the queue seen at the borders is not due to the farmers, but due to the lack of the employees of the Greek customs who are not enough to service the truck drivers entering Greece.
