Greek govt wants answers concerning spy allegations of its embassy in Berlin

Der Spiegel’s report alleged that Germany had been spying on its allies

The Greek government raised the issue of the alleged monitoring of its embassy in Berlin by German intelligence services after reports in German weekly Der Spiegel referred to surveillance of the Greek embassy among others. Responding to journlists’ questions, Greek foreign ministry spokesman Konstantinos Koutras said on Monday that “between partners, there are certain rules of cooperation and deontology, to which the German government has referred repeatedly in the recent past, complaining of the violation of these rules by other countries. We await the initiatives of the German government, with which the issue has already been raised.”
