Bank deposits recorded a €600 million decline in November, as the increased tax liabilities peaked in the third quarter of the year.
More specifically, while deposits at the end of September amounted to €142 billion, after the first weeks of November they reached 141.2 billion euros, according to data published by newspaper Kathimerini.
It should be noted that at the end of August deposits reached €141.9 billion euros, following an upward trend since the beginning of the year.
This decrease, however, does not worry the banks as it is unrelated to any substantive reason that might destabilise the Greek economy as a whole.
