French President Francois Hollande said while addressing to city mayors that French police’s aim was to neutralize the terrorists and they succeeded.

Mr. Hollande spoke shortly after the completion of the operation in Saint Denis stating that the aim of the French police was to neutralize the terrorists who were linked with the terror attacks in Paris.

He also said that police acted in very difficult conditions in order to carry out the operation and reiterated that France is at war with terrorists, while he thanked the residents of Saint Denis for their patience and courage during the operation
