A huge fire broke out and burin to the ground the Serbian Orthodox Church of ‘Agios Savvas’, Sunday, in Manhattan, New York. Images show the devastation, as huge flames have engulfed the temple completely destroying the church. 170 fire fighters and tens of fire engines tried to extinguish the flames and contain the fire. The causes of the fire are unclear, but it is estimated that it started on the first floor before spreading to the interior of the church and the roof top. The New York fire department says no one was in the church at the time. Before the fire started the Easter Orthodox services had been observed.
