Iraq: 150 women executed for refusing to marry ISIS militants

They buried their victims in mass graves

According to an announcement released by the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights, at least 150 women were executed in Iraq by Islamic State militants for refusing to marry them.

The women and girls were murdered in the western Iraqi western province of al-Anbar and their bodies were buried in mass graves.

Some of the women were pregnant at the time of their execution, Turkish Anadolu Agency reports.

“At least 150 women, including pregnant females, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas Al-Libi for refusing to accept jihad marriage,” the statement said.
