Kammenos insists on Mouzalas’ resignation – Decision rests on Tsipras

The prime minister will decide after the end of EU summit on refugee

The statements of Alternate Minister for Migration Policy Yannis Mouzalas who called FYROM ‘Macedonia’ led to political turmoil and intergovernmental crisis and threatens the stability of government.

The leader of Independent Greeks and Minister of Defense, Panos Kammenos, insists on Yannis Mouzalas’ resignation stating that otherwise the participation of Independent Greeks in the coalition government is not secured.

Mr. Kammenos met with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at Maximos Mansion. After their meeting, which lasted two hours, Mr. Kammenos insisted on requesting the resignation of Mr. Mouzalas raising the issue “it’s either me or Mouzalas”.

He pointed out that the prime minister will decide after the end of EU summit on refugee where Mr. Mouzalas will participate.

According to information, the two men also discussed the possibility of reshuffling the cabinet.
