Kyriakos Mitsotakis was elected the 9th president of opposition party New Democracy with clear election win according to the results recorded up to now.
With almost 68.7% of votes counted at 22:00, Mr. Mitsotakis leads with 51.2%, while Mr. Meimarakis received 48.8%.
Associates of Mr. Mitsotakis claim that the result of the elections will reach from 53% -47% to 55% -45%, while voters turnout reached 325,000 voters.
Earlier, they were talking about Mitsotakis leading with 53.2% over Mr. Meimarakis with 46.8%, whereas associates of Mr. Meimarakis were talking about him winning with 50.4% against 49.6%.
