Main opposition SYRIZA prepares its government program

A new cycle of meetings begins this weekend

Main opposition Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) enters the home stretch of the preparation for possible early elections, putting the finishing touches to its government program.

In the context of these preparations, SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras will address two regional party meetings, scheduled to take place in Lamia on Saturday and Ioannina on Sunday.

This weekend, a new cycle of program meetings begins for SYRIZA. These meetings will be held in all regions of the country, focusing on the overall government program as well as the specific role to be undertaken by each region. Several statutory bodies have been invited to attend, as well as representatives of political parties that criticize government policy (with the exception of far-right Golden Dawn, of course) and representatives of movements that may agree to support SYRIZA.

SYRIZA secretary of the Central Committee Dimitris Vitsas is expected to give a press conference on Friday noon to talk about the program and the purpose of these meetings.

The focus is now on Alexis Tsipras speeches, as the leader of main opposition is expected to attack  the government even harder and ask for its resignation, categorically rejecting the possibility of consensus with government parties that support the memoranda.
