Obama: Sony hack not an act of war

FBI announced on Friday that North Korea is to blame for the massive hacking

United States President Barack Obama said on Sunday that the hacking of Sony Pictures was not an act of war but a very costly act of cyber-vandalism. However, he clarified that the US government is taking very seriously the incident and that it will respond accordingly.

It should be noted that FBI announced on Friday that North Korea is to blame for the massive hacking which led Sony Pictures to withdraw a Pyongyang satire film titled “The Interview” that was scheduled for release during the holiday season.

Obama called this move by Sony “a mistake.”
