Evangelos Meimarakis leader of main opposition party New Democracy (ND) said the Greek society is sending a clear message of concertation in an interview to television station Action24, Friday night. He warned that the ‘lies are over everyone has understood what the truth is’, referring to the promises his political opponent Alexis Tsipras is handing out left and right to the electorate. Meimartakis underlined that the Greek people had sidelined the populists, adding that what was of the utmost importance was honoring specific commitments. The leader of the conservative party touched on the matters grabbing media headlines like the refugee crisis holding Tsipras accountable for his actions on the pressing issue. Once more he called for national understanding, explaining that the country was in need of stabilty.
