Police find planned Korydallos prison bombing testing ground

Police locate terrorist hideout where tests for Korydallos prison bombing were carried out

The police have discovered the location where convicted terrorist Christodoulos Xiros and the Radical anarchist Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei conducted tests for the planned bombing of high-security Korydallos prison. The area was at a building 29.5 km off the old Athens-Corinth national highway. The Anti-terror squad is searching the area to locate traces with an investigation still in process.

Background

The 56-year-old Marxist guerrilla, Xiros, was located after he absconded from Korydallos prison where he was serving time for involvement in the defunct November 17 terror group. At the time of his arrest he was preparing to strike the prison for a cinematic jailbreak.
