The ‘Troika’ turned ‘Quartet’ representatives met with the governor of the Bank of Greece Yannis Stournaras Friday, after a 6-hour long talk with Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and his colleague Minister of Finance Giorgos Stathakis. The situation of the Greek banking system is expected to be at the centre of talks, while they might also touch on the matter of recapitalizing the Greek banks. The goal is complete the recapitalization process until the end of Novemer, with the bank ‘stress tests’ expected to start in August. Stournaras is scheduled later on Friday to meet with Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and inform him on the meeting with the institutions.
