Rent your home out to a tourist… the easy way!

The third bailout helps those interested in leasing out their homes on a temporary basis cut through the red tape

The third bailout reforms agreed to last month have  cut the red tape for Greek homeowners who wish to lease out real estate for temporary use. The new rules mean that homeowners are no longer required to obtain a special operations label awarded by the Greek national Tourism Organization (GNTO).

New provisions allow homeowners to now use popular platforms such as Arbnb or use private rental contracts.

Those who wish to lease out their property on a temporary basis need to register the details of the rentals online with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and e-Governance so as to obtain a registration number for the lease in accordance with Greek tax rules.
