Turkey: Terrifying landing in Istanbul – The plane’s wheels did not open

The Boeing 767 touched down without landing gear, where the fuel tank was located – It was a commercial flight

Terrifying landing for a commercial plane in Istanbul as the wheels did not open, causing it to crash into the ground.

According to Anadolu, a Boeing 763 cargo aircraft of Fedex Airlines was operating the Paris-Istanbul flight and experienced a landing gear failure, Anadolu reported.

It contacted the control tower at Istanbul airport and requested permission to land on the fuselage. As a result, the necessary precautions were taken to land at the airport and the airport’s Rescue and Firefighting Service teams were sent to the runway.

When the plane landed, it inevitably dragged on the tarmac, shooting sparks from the friction. Runway 16R at Istanbul Airport, where the plane landed, was also closed to flights. Work continues to remove the plane from the runway.
