Saudi Arabia characterises ISIL as Islam’s number one threat

After the country’s 100 million dollar donation to the UN

The Islamic State jihadists in Iraq and Levant are in the sights of the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia.

According to the supreme religious leader, ISIL is the number one enemy of Islam, as neither extremism nor terrorist is associated with Islamic teachings.

“Terrorism is an evil that must be eliminated from all over the world with an international effort”, stated the Saudi ambassador to the UN.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia granted 100 million dollars to the UN Counter-terrorism center, which the Saudi ambassador characterized as the only one capable of fighting terrorism.
