Scholarships offered to Greeks by foreign governments

Various foreign governments offer scholarships to Greek nationals for summer of 2015 or the 2015-16 academic year

The Ministry of Education announced scholarships awarded by foreign governments to Greek nationals for the summer of 2015 and for the academic year 2015-2016 in the context of cultural exchanges.

SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

1. Belgium

a)      A scholarship for a summer seminar in the French language and culture at the Free University of Brussels

b)      Two scholarships for the summer of 2015 relating to civil servants or diplomats in order to specialize in French as a tool in International Relations at the University UMONS.

2. Bulgaria

a) A scholarship for postgraduate studies or for a 10 month long research.

b) Four scholarships for summer language seminar on history and culture.

3. Estonia

a) A 10-month scholarship for postgraduate studies or research in the Public Higher Education Institution in the country.

b) Two scholarships for a summer language and culture seminar at the University of Tartu and the University of Tallinn.

4. Jordan

a) Three scholarships for undergraduate and / or postgraduate studies on research.

b) Two scholarships on Arabic language studies in the Department of foreign languages at the University of Jordan.

5. China

a) Two scholarships for a full course of undergraduate studies.

b) Two scholarship for postgraduate studies or research.

6. Croatia

a) A ten-month or up to ten months scholarship for postgraduate studies in research.

b) Two scholarships for a summer language and culture seminar.

7. Cyprus

a) A scholarship for postgraduate studies or 10-month long research course

b) A 10 month scholarship for postgraduate studies in permanent teaching

8. Latvia

a) A scholarship for postgraduate studies or a 10-month long research course.

b) Two scholarships for a summer language and culture seminar.

9. South Korea

A scholarship for at least a two year postgraduate or doctoral period.

10. Hungary

a) Two scholarships for postgraduate studies or 10 month long research course.

b) Three scholarships of one month each for a summer language and culture seminar.

11. Poland

a) A thirty-month long scholarship for postgraduate studies or research, which are distributed according to candidates.

b) Two scholarships of one month each for a summer language and literature seminar.

12. Romania

a) A scholarship for a full 12-month course of undergraduate studies.

b) A ten-month long scholarship for postgraduate studies or research.

13. Serbia

a) A 20-month long scholarship for research, which can be allocated to candidates.

b) Five scholarships for a summer language and culture seminar.

14. Slovakia

A 15-month long scholarship for postgraduate studies or research, which are distributed according to candidates.

15. Slovenia

A 10-month long scholarship to undergraduates, graduates and doctoral students who wish to complete part of their studies under the supervision of a professor at a University of Slovenia.

16. Turkey

a) Three scholarships for an eight-month research.

b) Three scholarships for a summer Turkish language and culture seminar lasting two months each.
