Several people injured in explosion at fireworks workshop

A powerful explosion has shaken the small town of Zevgolatio in Corinth, a few hours ago.

According to sources, four people have been injured, including the owners of the workshop aged 35 and 38 and their two children, an 11-year old boy and a 6-year old girl, who had both suffered extensive burns.

The cause of the blast remains unknown. However, the local police have launched an inquiry into the incident.

Firefighters immediately arrived at the scene to prevent the fire from spreading and the victims were taken to hospitals in Corinth and Athens.
